Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman escaped in 1849 and she fled to Philadelphia. Between she lead people to freedom using the Underground railroad. After, she was involved in the organization of the National Federation of Afro-American women. That is an organization that lead efforts to improve education and care for both children and the elderly. Harriet Tubman was known as Moses to the people because she helped slaves escape to freedom. So did Moses. She died in D & C.
